Next-gen Hyundai Verna bookings open in India

The Hyundai Verna will be available in four variants and will compete with the Skoda Slavia, VW Virtus and Honda City.

Hyundai has opened the order books for the next-generation Verna in India. Customers can book the car by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000.

The Hyundai Verna will be available in four variants: EX, S, SX and SX (O). The car gets a striking new design based on the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy. It features a wide grille with an LED light bar at the front and slim LED taillights with an LED strip in the centre.

Inside, the car is expected to get a dual-screen setup with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a digital instrument cluster. 

The new Verna will be available with two engine options. These include an all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT. Both engines are RDE and E20-compliant.

Hyundai is offering the new Verna is seven monotone and two dual-tone colour options. The carmaker has also introduced three new shades of Abyss Black, Atlas White and Tellurian Brown.
