Next-gen Mahindra Scorpio Diesel MT 2WD specs leaked

The Mahindra Scorpio is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine.

The next-gen Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted testing numerous times. But the latest spy images reveal a window sticker that sheds some light on its powertrain.

As per the window sticker, this particular test car has a 130 BHP engine that is mated to a manual transmission. This variant appears to be equipped with 2-wheel drive.

The test mule could be powered by the same diesel engine that is offered in the Mahindra Thar. The 2.2-litre mHawk motor develops 130 BHP and 320 Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Reports also suggest that Mahindra could offer a 2.0-litre diesel producing 158 BHP in the new Scorpio. The more potent engine could perhaps be reserved for higher variants equipped with all-wheel drive.
