Next-gen Maruti Celerio interiors spied

New spy images of the next generation Maruti Celerio have surfaced online. Although wrapped in camouflage, we now get a clear look at the car's interior for the first time.

This particular test car has an all-black interior and is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment head-unit. The 3-spoke steering wheel doesn't appear to have audio controls. The instrument cluster looks pretty basic with the speedometer in the centre and a small MID with an amber backlight.

The new Celerio will be based on the Heartect platform that underpins the WagonR and S-Presso. The car looks larger in size compared to the current model. It could also get larger diameter wheels.

Maruti is expected to offer the new Celerio with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine options, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
