Next-gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio arrives at dealership

The new Celerio will lock horns with the models like the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Santro.

The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been spotted at a dealership. It is said that cars are being dispatched for the purpose of sales training.

Unlike the base variant that was spotted last week, the car seen in these images is equipped with stylish black alloy wheels, fog lamps and a touchscreen infotainment system. The higher variant gets a multi-function steering wheel and a single-pod instrument cluster with a circular digital readout.

The new Celerio is expected to be based on the fifth-generation Heartect platform. The car is expected to be offered with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.

Reports suggest that some dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the Celerio unofficially. The car is likely to be launched later this month.
