Next-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC debuts with mild-hybrid tech

The 2023 Mercedes GLC now comes with a 2.0L mild-hybrid and optional all-wheel drive.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC has been unveiled for the global market. The SUV now comes with mild-hybrid powertrains.

The new GLC is longer and has wider front and rear tracks than before. While the overall width remains the same, its wheelbase has increased slightly.

The GLC features a revised front fascia featuring a new grille and redesigned headlamp clusters. At the rear, the car gets slim LED tail lamps and twin chrome exhaust tips. The new GLC carries forward the clean and elegant design language of its predecessor.

On the inside, the SUV comes equipped with an S-Class inspired dashboard featuring an 11.9-inch touchscreen running the brand’s latest MBUX infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

In the international market, the GLC is available with a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with a 48v mild-hybrid system. The GLC 300 and GLC 300 4Matic pack 257 BHP and 400 Nm, with the mild-hybrid system providing an additional boost of 23 BHP and 200 Nm. Both variants come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
