Next-gen MINI 3-door hatchback images leaked; unveil in 2022

The fourth-generation iteration of the premium 3-door hatchback model is expected to be globally unveiled some time during the second half of 2022.

The next-generation MINI 3-door hatchback has been revealed via leaked images online. The pictures showcase a completely undisguised model, revealing all the design changes for the next-gen model. While the front retains its characteristic circular headlamps, the front grille has now been made larger and features a wide panel covering most of the front. The rear though has been updated significantly, now featuring triangular LED taillights connected together by a black panel running across the width of the boot lid.

The leaked images also reveal the interiors of the next-gen MINI. The hatchback can be seen with a new two-spoke steering wheel and a large circular central infotainment system. There is also a heads-up display that completely replaces the instrument cluster.

MINI is yet to announce the powertrain options for the new-gen model.
