Next-gen Skoda Fabia spied with minimal camouflage

Recently, the all-new Skoda Fabia was spotted with heavy disguise, testing at the Nürburgring in Germany. Now, a fresh set of pictures has surfaced in which the car is seen with almost no camouflage.

From the pictures we can see that the new Fabia borrows many design cues from the new Rapid sedan which is sold in international markets. The car sports a more angular design than its predecessor. There is a wide front grille and narrow headlamps which resemble those of the sedan. The car has sportier C-pillar and a redesigned tailgate with a small spoiler on it. The tail lamps have plastic cladding on them which covers their true design.

The new Fabia is said to be longer and wider than before and will use a reworked version of the current car's PQ architecture instead of Volkswagen's new MQB platform. Engine options for the new Fabia are likely to be similar to the facelifted Volkswagen Polo.

Skoda is expected to unveil the new Fabia at the Paris Motor Show in October. The car will go on sale shortly afterwards.
