Next-gen Tata Nexon to be launched in 2027

The future of the diesel version of the Nexon remains uncertain.

According to a media report, work on the next-generation Tata Nexon has already begun. It is expected to arrive in 2027.

The new-gen Nexon (codenamed: Garud) will reportedly be based on a modified version of the existing X1 platform. It was first used on the Indica back in the 1990s and was updated and modified to suit the Nexon. Reports suggest that the latest iteration of the X1 architecture will also get major structural updates.

The next-gen Nexon will receive a design overhaul inside and out. We can expect the compact SUV to adopt the latest styling cues from other models in Tata’s line-up. Similarly, the interior will be upgraded with the latest features and tech.

Under the bonnet, the new Tata Nexon is expected to get petrol and CNG powertrain options. The future of the diesel version, though, remains uncertain.
