Nissan launches Sunny facelift at Rs. 7.29 lakh

Nissan Motor India has launched the Sunny facelift at prices starting from Rs. 7,29,354 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The car is available in 8 variants and in a choice of six body colours.

The Sunny facelift features styling changes to the exterior of the car. There are new headlights, which resemble those on the American Nissan Altima, new grille and front bumper. Chrome has been used liberally on the grille, the fog lamp housings and the bumper chin.  The alloy wheels of the car have been redesigned and ORVMs now get integrated turn indicators. At the rear, we find chrome garnish for the number plate and the bumper gets black plastic inserts along the bottom. The radio antenna is new as well and has been repositioned from the front to the rear of the roof.

On the inside, there is a new leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, reversing camera and a piano black centre console. Safety equipment includes ABS with EBD and brake assist and airbags.

There are no changes to the engines and transmissions of the car. Engine options include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit that puts out 98 bhp and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel motor that produces 85 bhp. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Sunny petrol is available with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) as well.
