Nissan Magnite receives 5,000 bookings in 5 days

Majority of the customers have booked the top-spec XV and XV Premium variants.

Nissan has announced that it has received over 50,000 enquiries for the Magnite and 5,000 cars have been booked within 5 days of its launch.

The Magnite was launched earlier this month at an introductory price of Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in four trim levels – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium.

According to Nissan, over 60% customers opted for the XV and XV Premium variants, while 30% of the bookings are for the CVT variants. 40% of all customers who booked the Magnite came through digital channels.

The Magnite is available with two engine options. These include a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 71 BHP and 96 Nm and a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol unit that makes 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Both engines are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the Magnite is also offered with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) mated to the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. However, in the CVT version, peak torque has been limited to 152 Nm.
