Northway Motorsport's modified E2O claims 350 km range

Northway Motorsport has modified a Mahindra E2O with an additional 17 kWh battery pack, which now claims to extend the car's range to over 350 km on a single charge.

Northway Motorsport, a Pune-based EV company has modified a Mahindra E2O by fitting an additional battery pack, extending the overall range of the car on a single charge.

The modified Mahindra E2O comes with a separate 17 kWh lithium-ion battery pack fitted alongside the standard 11 kWh pack. This combined 28 kWh battery pack on the modified E2O now claims to offer a range of over 350 km on a single charge.

The additional battery pack is positioned in the boot. The 17 kWh pack alone is said to provide 110 - 200 km of range, depending on various factors. The additional battery pack also weighs in at 175 kg and is said to cost Rs. 3.25 lakh, inclusive of taxes.

Apart from the 17 kWh battery pack, Northway Motorsport also offers range extenders varying from RE-50 (providing 50 km range) to a 20 kWh battery pack (providing 240 km of max range).

The standard Mahindra E2O plus electric hatchback is offered in three variants - P2, P4 and P6. All three variants come powered by a 3-phase AC induction motor producing 25 BHP and 70 Nm.
