Norton Motorcycles will not be manufactured in India

Earlier this month, the TVS Motor Company acquired UK-based Norton Motorcycles. But, the company does not plan to shift production of Norton bikes to India.

According to TVS Joint MD Sudarshan Venu, the company is not planning to move manufacturing out of the UK. At present, Norton bikes are built in Derby, in Donington Hall. However, the company will move to another location in the same region.

TVS has also retained amost all of the employees except a few, which includes the old management. The company plans to build more bikes by leveraging the strengths of Norton design and assembly teams.
