November 2019 vehicle registration data shows 2% growth

According to the latest figures released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), the month of November saw nominal growth across all segments except for the commercial vehicles' segment. Total vehicle sales stood at 21,05,508, which showed a YoY growth of 2%.

Vehicle registration data shows that 2,57,271 cars were sold in November 2019 compared to 2,55,535 in the same month last year. The passenger vehicle segment thus registered a YoY growth of 1%.

The 2-wheeler segment saw a growth of 3% as 17,05,495 units were sold in the month of November. Total sales in the same month the previous year stood at 16,60,082.

The 3-wheeler segment registered the highest growth of 20%. Sales increased from 54,639 in November 2018 to 65,348 in November 2019.

The commercial vehicles' segment saw an 8% dip in growth. A total of 77,394 units were sold in November 2019 compared to 84,040 units in the same month last year.
