Petrol price cut by Rs. 1.12/l, diesel down by Rs. 1.24/l

Fuel prices in the country have been revised from the midnight of June 15, as petrol is now cheaper by Rs. 1.12 per litre, while diesel costs Rs. 1.24 less per litre. This decrement is excluding state levies and thus the final resulting decrease will be higher than the aforementioned figures.

Post this price cut, petrol in Delhi costs Rs. 65.48 per litre, while diesel is pegged at Rs. 54.49 per litre. The last price revision was made on June 1, when petrol got a hike of Rs. 1.23 per litre and diesel became dearer by 89 paise a litre.

This is the last fortnightly fuel price revision made in the country. Starting from Friday, 16 June 2017, oil marketing companies (OMCs) will be revising petrol and diesel prices daily. Fuel prices across the country will change at 6 a.m. every day. The decision on the said revision will be taken after considering parameters like USD-INR exchange rate and international crude oil prices.
