Piaggio Vespa Dual scooter launched; Priced at Rs 1.32 lakh

There are no changes to the powertrain of the scooter. Both VXL and the SXL Vespa Dual come with a choice of 125cc or 150cc single cylinder engine options.

Piaggio has refreshed the Vespa line-up in India with the addition of a new variant. The Vespa Dual is a two-tone colour offering on both the ‘SXL’ and ‘VXL’ range of scooters. The price of this new variant starts at Rs. 1.32 lakh for the VXL and Rs. 1.37 lakh for the SXL (ex-showroom).

In terms of design, the Vespa Dual comes with a white colour option with contrast paint on the floorboard, lower side panels and front apron insides. The scooters also get contrast colour seat upholstery that matches the highlighted colour. The Italian scooter maker is also offering a pillion backrest as standard on the Vespa Dual.

Coming to colour options, the Vespa Dual is offered in four paint schemes: Pearl White with Azuro Provenza or Beige on the VXL and Pearl White with Matt Red or Matt Black on the SXL.

There are no changes to the powertrain of the scooter. Both VXL and the SXL Vespa Dual come with a choice of 125cc or 150cc single cylinder engine options. The 125cc engine makes 9.8 BHP and 9.6 Nm, while the 150cc motor puts out 10.2 BHP and 10.6 Nm. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
