Piyush Arora is Skoda India's new boss

Piyush Arora replaces Gurpratap Boparai as the head of Skoda Auto VW India.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has announced the appointment of Piyush Arora as the company's new Managing Director. He replaces Gurpratap Boparai, who had resigned from the post in December last year.

Piyush Arora has been working in the automotive industry for more than 3 decades. He will oversee the India operations of the five VW Group brands - Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini.

Mr. Arora is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and has an International Business Diploma from Symbiosis International University, Pune. In the past, he has worked with Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz Indonesia and Mercedes-Benz Vietnam. Prior to joining Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, he was the Executive Director and Head of Operations at Mercedes-Benz India.
