Porsche Cayenne Coupe unveiled

Porsche has unveiled the new Cayenne Coupe. Based on the third generation Cayenne, the Coupe has a more sloping roofline compared to the standard car.

The front end of the Cayenne Coupe is identical to the standard model. It features a set of sweptback LED headlights and a front bumper with three rectangular air vents. The A-pillars are shorter as the roof edge has been lowered by 20 mm. It has redesigned rear doors and fenders that extend the shoulder by 18 mm. The roofline gently slopes towards the rear and features a roof spoiler. Additionally, the Coupe comes with a second spoiler – an active spoiler similar to the standard car, which extends by 135 mm at speeds of 90 km/h. The slim tail lights with the light bar in the centre are similar to the ones on the standard Cayenne.

The Cayenne Coupe comes with a fixed glass panoramic roof. However, a contoured carbon roof is available as an option with one of three lightweight sports packages. The Sport Design package comes with new lightweight 22-inch GT Design wheels, checked fabric upholstery and carbon and Alcantara interior trim. A sports exhaust system comes standard with this package on the Cayenne Turbo Coupe.

The interior of the Cayenne Coupe is similar to the standard SUV. It has a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, while the rear seat has been lowered by 30 mm to liberate some headroom. Features such as Speed sensitive Power Steering Plus, 20-inch alloy wheels Park Assist, reversing camera, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Sport Chrono Package are offered as standard.

The Cayenne Coupe is available with two petrol engine options - a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 335 BHP and 450 Nm of torque and a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 unit that puts out 542 BHP and 770 Nm of peak torque. The latter is offered on the Cayenne Turbo Coupe.
