Pravaig plans to set up EV manufacturing unit in Saudi Arabia

The factory will produce EVs for left-hand drive markets in the Gulf, Europe and the USA.

Bangalore-based EV startup Pravaig Dynamics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi India Venture Studio to explore setting up an EV manufacturing unit in Saudi Arabia.

The new factory will produce electric cars for left-hand drive markets in the Gulf, Europe and the USA. The facility will have an annual production capacity of up to 1 million units.

As part of the deal, the two parties will also explore possibilities to co-develop, supply and service special-purpose vehicles, including EVs, AI-driven solutions, advanced batteries and energy storage solutions.

In 2020, Pravaig launched its first electric SUV in the Indian market. The Pravaig Defy uses a dual motor setup and has a combined output of 401 BHP and 620 Nm. The car uses a 90.9 kWh battery that is said to offer a range of over 500 km.

A month later, the company revealed an electric sedan called the Extinction. It uses a 96 kWh swappable battery offering a maximum range of 504 km on a single charge.
