New spy images of the Tata H5X have surfaced online. Unlike previous test mules that had Discover Sport body shells, the latest test vehicles appear to be production-ready.
The Tata H5X concept debuted the Impact Design 2.0 design language at the 2018 Auto Expo. The spy images suggest that the production-spec H5X will retain the triangular headlamps and grille. The SUV has a gently sloping roofline with an integrated spoiler and large wheel arches lined with black plastic cladding. The test vehicle is running on black 5-spoke alloy wheels.
The upcoming Tata H5X will be based on a new Omega platform and is expected to be unveiled in November 2018. The engine options might include a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with 140 BHP of peak output paired to a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The H5X will feature all-wheel drive and independent suspension all around. Tata Motors is also rumoured to be working on a 7-seat version of the H5X.
