QJ Motor launches its SRC range to take on Royal Enfield

The QJ SRC 250 and SRC 500 competes with Royal Enfield in the Indian market.

China-based QJ Motor has launched its SRC motorcycle range in India. The SRC 250 is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh, while the SRC 500 costs Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

The QJ SRC is a retro-styled motorcycle that will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The 250cc version is available in single-tone colours, while the 500cc model comes in dual-tone paint schemes and alloy wheels. The bikes have a typical teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round headlamp and a single-piece seat.

The SRC 250 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 17.4 BHP and 17 Nm. The SRC 500 uses a 480cc, single-cylinder block that pumps out 25.5 BHP and 36 Nm.

Both bikes are equipped with conventional telescopic fork suspension at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. They get disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
