Rear wiper & washer on my Tata Aria 4x4 abruptly stops working

I could hear the rear wiper pump noise when trying to wipe the rear windscreen, with no water coming out.

BHPian AdityaDeane recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I have been facing a particular niggle since the last almost 3 weeks. The rear wiper and washer stopped working suddenly.

I noticed that smart rear wiper, manual rear wash and wipe functions were not working. But, I could hear the rear wiper pump noise when trying to wipe the rear windscreen, with no water coming out. And, only in this function the rear wiper would work, not otherwise, with the noise of rear washer motor.

Took the car for OBD Scanning this morning, and these are the codes that came up:

Forgive the unclear photo, I could not see properly due to sunshine. This included a code for rear wiper and washer also.

Then after trying to clear the codes, still these 2 are left. The rear wiper has started working, need to check the rear washer, haven't checked that yet. But, the Check Engine Light, Restricted Performance and Engine System Fault are still showing in the MID.

The car electrician has asked me to come again to check the EGR Sensor and Wiring Harness, and hopefully after that the car's pick up will improve and these fault codes will be cleared. Total cost of Scanning was Rs.500/-.
