Refreshed Swift has been launched at Rs.4.42 lakhs

The refreshed edition of the Maruti Suzuki Swift is finally here at starting price of Rs.4.42 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. The Swift continues to be powered by the same engines - 1,248cc diesel and 1,197cc petrol motor. The power ratings of the diesel remain identical to the outgoing car i.e. 74 bhp @ 4000 RPM and 190 Nm @ 2000 RPM. However, the petrol motor is down to 83 bhp @ 6000 RPM (previously it was 86 bhp @ 6200 RPM) and 115 Nm @ 4000 RPM (increased by 1 Nm).

The talking point of this refresh are the improved fuel efficiency figures from the existing motors, which have risen by up to 10% over the outgoing car and now stand at 25.2 kmpl for the Diesel and 20.4 kmpl for the Petrol Swift. The advanced thermal management system in diesel engine along with low friction engine oil and modified fuel injection system helps the diesel engine to warm up faster and reduce frictional losses. The compact combustion chamber and higher compression ratio on the petrol engine helps to improve engine efficiency.

New additions to the exteriors include a restyled front bumper and grill, silver accents in the fog lamp housing, new alloy wheels and electric ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.
Changes to the interiors are even more subtle and include an engine start/stop button, silver accents on the dashboard and new upholstery. 60:40 split seats, an additional reading light, steering mounted controls for audio and phone and reverse parking sensors have been added to the refreshed Swift.

The Swift will be available in 6 colours (3 or which are new) - Mysterious Violet, Fire Red, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White, Silky Silver and Glistening Grey.

Ex-showroom Delhi prices for the petrol Swift are LXi - Rs.4.42 lakh, LXi (o) - Rs.4.49 lakh, VXi - Rs.5.08 lakh and ZXi - Rs.5.90 lakh. The ex-showroom Delhi prices for the diesel Swift are LDi  - Rs.5.56 lakh, VDi - Rs.6.00 lakh and ZDi - Rs.6.95 lakh.
