Renault HBC crossover named Kiger; Concept revealed

The Kiger will have about 80% similarity to the show car.

Renault's upcoming crossover is called the Kiger and here are the first images of the concept car on which it will be based.

Just like the Nissan Magnite and Renault Triber, the Kiger is underpinned by the CMF-A+ platform. The car features a V-shaped grille with an LED light bar on top. It has triple pod headlamps that are positioned on the front bumper. The flared wheel arches and the blacked-out roof add a sporty touch.

The rear features 3D C-shaped tail lights and a roof spoiler. The concept car has a centre-mounted exhaust. According to Renault, 80% of the design elements from the concept will be carried over onto the production car.

Renault hasn't revealed the engine options that will be offered in the Kiger. However, it could get the same range of petrol engines as the Magnite. These include a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that makes 71 BHP and 96 Nm and a turbo-petrol motor producing 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT.
