Renault Kiger electric SUV spied ahead of Auto Expo 2023

The Kiger EV could compete with the upcoming Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3 in the Indian market.

Renault’s first all-electric model for the Indian market could be based on the Kiger, as opposed to the Kwid. As per the latest spy images, the Kiger EV looks production ready and could make its global debut at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023.

The pure electric Kiger looks similar to its ICE counterpart, except for a few details. The electric SUV gets a blanked-out grille at the front. The charging port is neatly integrated under the Renault logo. The triple-pod headlamps with LED daytime running lights and C-shaped tail lamps have been carried over unchanged.

The interior of the Kiger EV looks familiar too. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a touchscreen infotainment system. The conventional gear lever, however, is missing on the electric version. It is replaced with drive mode switches.

Technical details of the Kiger EV are still under wraps. But we can expect the car to offer at least 300 km of range. It could compete with the upcoming Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3 in the Indian market.
