Renault Kiger facelift spied with minor cosmetic updates

The Kiger facelift is expected to be offered with the same set of engines as the outgoing model.

The Renault Kiger facelift is due to arrive later this year and road trials have already begun. A test mule of the upcoming compact SUV was recently spotted in Ooty. Although camouflaged, it did reveal some interesting design details.

Looking at the latest spy images, it seems like the Kiger will receive a minor cosmetic update. The test car appears to have clear lens taillights and is equipped with a rear spoiler, roof rails and a shark fin antenna.

While the image showing the front end is slightly blurry, the new Kiger appears to have a slightly larger front grille with LED DRLs on either side. It might also get redesigned front and rear bumpers and a new set of alloy wheels.

The Kiger facelift is expected to be offered with the same set of engines as the outgoing model. These include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol. Transmission options will also remain the same, with a 5-speed manual and AMT being offered on the NA petrol, while the Turbo version will get a CVT option.
