Renault Kwid facelift caught testing in India

The Renault Kwid facelift with an updated front end has been spotted testing in India.

The spy images suggest that the new Kwid's styling is likely to be inspired by the K-ZE electric hatchback. It has a 3-slat front grille and split headlamp clusters. The main headlights are likely to be positioned below the slim LED daytime running lights. The front bumper comes with a wide airdam. The test car has silver ORVM housings and is riding on steel wheels that have silver wheel caps.

The current generation Kwid is available with a 799cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 54 BHP @ 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque @ 4,386 rpm and a 999 cc, 3-cylinder petrol unit puts out 67 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm @ 4,250 pm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The Kwid facelift is expected to get BS-VI compliant engines.
