Renault Kwid gets smartphone connectivity, ABS & Airbags

Renault has updated the Kwid hatchback with new features including smartphone connectivity, ABS and airbags. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available on the RXT(O) and Climber variants, while a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminder and speed alert are offered as standard across all variants.

In addition to connectivity features, the RXT(O) and Climber variants also get voice recognition, fast USB charger and a video playback feature on its 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The Renault Kwid is available with two 3-cylinder petrol engine options - a 799 cc engine making 53 BHP @ 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque @ 4,386 rpm and a 999 cc unit putting out 67 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm @ 4,250 pm. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission, while a 5-speed AMT is available with the 1.0-litre engine.
