Renault to launch Lodgy on April 9, 2015

Renault will launch the Lodgy MPV in India on April 9, 2015.

The Lodgy will be powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that is used in the Duster. It will be available in both, 85 PS and 110 PS states of tune. It will also use the same 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmissions of the Duster.

The MPV has a boxy body. It will come with 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, body coloured bumpers, ORVMs and door handles and chrome inserts on the front grill and tailgate.

On the inside, the Lodgy gets 7 or 8 seats. The car is equipped with features such as a driver armrest, electric ORVMs, front and rear power windows, keyless entry, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, AUX-in, USB and Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and camera, cruise control, optional leather seats, air-conditioner vents for the second and third rows of seats and a reclining middle row among others.

On the safety front, features such as ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, dual airbags, engine immobilizer, rear wiper and washer, impact sensing auto door unlock and speed sensing door locks have been provided.

Renault will pit the Lodgy against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy, Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova. Bookings for the Lodgy were opened last week. The booking amount for the MPV is Rs. 50,000.
