Reunited with my beloved 2009 Royal Enfield Bullet after 10 years

I wasn’t planning to buy a motorcycle. But this isn’t just a bike. It’s a time capsule of memories, a symbol of love.

BHPian Thar4x4 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

"Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai... ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai."

This iconic dialogue from Om Shanti Om perfectly captures what I felt — and still feel — about my Bullet.

Exactly a year ago, something magical happened. My beloved Bullet, which I had parted with back in 2013, found its way back to me. Thanks to a dear friend who had preserved it in its original glory for over a decade. True to his word, when the time came to let it go, he reached out to me first. I didn’t think twice — I brought it home that very moment.

I wasn’t planning to buy a bike. But this isn’t just a bike. It’s a time capsule of memories, a symbol of love. It was a birthday gift from my wife, purchased on 19th June 2009. Over the years, it carried me through countless unforgettable journeys — the most cherished being the Pune–Goa–Pune ride with my wife, and the epic Pune–Bangalore–Pune Saddle Sore 1600K challenge.

Since its return, I’ve restored it to its original genes and now maintain it with the same passion it deserves. I don’t ride it every day, but every time I do — no matter the traffic or the road — it brings an unshakable smile to my face.

Here are the photos of the same bike, at the same spot, separated only by time — but connected by a lifetime of memories.
