Road condition update: NH-12, Barajaguli to Krishnanagar, West Bengal

Widening work on the Barajaguli-Krishnanagar section of NH-12 is causing traffic snarls.

Road widening work on the Barajaguli-Krishnanagar section of NH-12 is currently underway and it is advised that folks travelling towards Malda should avoid this stretch for at least another year.

The condition of the Krishnanagar to Malda section is fine, while the overall traffic situation at Dalkhola has eased up following the unofficial opening of the bypass.

Work has resumed on the two stalled parts of the route. Also, construction of the Berhampore bypass is in full swing.

Construction of the new 4-lane bridge over the Ganges at Farakka has resumed after 2 years. The construction was suspended to review the design after the accident in 2020.
