Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 BS-VI spotted

A test mule of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 has been spotted testing in Chennai. It is likely to be testing a BS-VI compliant engine.

The test bike looks identical to the current model except for one detail. The twin upswept exhausts appear to have been modified. These pre-production exhausts have small extensions at the tips.

The bike is painted in black and has golden details. It has telescopic fork suspension at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear and has disc brakes at both ends.

At present, the Continental GT 650 is powered by a 648cc, 2-cylinder engine that produces 47 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm @ 5,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
