Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 caught testing

The Himalayan 450 is expected to be based on the K1 platform.

A test mule of what is believed to be the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spotted for the first time.

The Himalayan 450 is expected to be based on the K1 platform. The spy image clearly shows the bike's single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The new motor is said to produce around 40 BHP.

The adventure bike appears to be equipped with off-road-focused suspension. It has a round headlamp and instrument cluster with a transparent shroud around it. It also has a raised front fender. Moving to the rear, the bike has an upswept exhaust and is equipped with a luggage pannier.

The Himalayan 450 test bike is fitted with wire-spoke wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres. It has disc brakes at both ends and is expected to get dual-channel ABS.
