Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 & Him-E prototypes reach Khardung La

The Himalayan 750 will be powered by a new engine based on the existing 650cc parallel-twin unit.

Royal Enfield has been testing the Himalayan 750 and Him-E, the pure electric version of the ADV, in the extreme conditions of Ladakh. Today, the bike maker released a set of official images showcasing the prototypes as they reached the top of Khardung La.

The Himalayan 750 features a half-fairing with a circular headlamp and an upright windscreen. It has a 2-piece seat with provisions for the installation of panniers and a top box, a bigger TFT instrument console, and a sturdy bash plate.

The Himalayan 750 has an adjustable upside-down fork in the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.

Reports suggest that the Himalayan 750 will be powered by a new engine that will be based on the existing 650cc parallel-twin unit, which makes 46 BHP and 57 Nm.

The Him-E was showcased at EICMA 2024. It looks similar to the ICE version. It has a circular LED headlamp with an upright windscreen, raised handlebars and a single-piece seat.
