Rumour: Bajaj discontinues Dominar non-ABS version

Bajaj Auto has reportedly discontinued the non-ABS version of the Dominar. According to a media report, this step has been taken as Bajaj claims that more than 80% of the motorcycle's buyers are opting for the ABS version.

The Bajaj Dominar was launched in December 2016 and recently received an update earlier this year. The updated version gets three new colour options and gold alloy wheels. The ABS version of the bike is priced at Rs. 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is based on a beam type perimeter frame with a telescopic front fork and monoshock rear suspension. The bike comes with a full-LED headlamp in the front and twin LED tail lights along with an LCD instrument cluster.

The Dominar is powered by a KTM-sourced 373.3 cc, single-cylinder, triple spark, liquid-cooled DTS-i engine with fuel injection. It produces 35 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is equipped with a slipper clutch, 320 mm and 230 mm discs at the front and rear respectively and twin-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 section front and 150/60 section rear tyres.
