Rumour: Bajaj Pulsar 180 discontinued

  •

According to a media report, Bajaj Auto has discontinued the Pulsar 180. The semi-faired Pulsar 180F which was launched earlier this year is likely to take the place of the standard Pulsar 180.

The Pulsar 180 features the classic Pulsar looks with its familiar fuel tank design, headlamp housing and a narrow tail section. It is powered by a 178.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 16.76 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Pulsar 180 comes with telescopic suspension at the front and has twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by 260 mm and 230 mm discs at the front and rear respectively.

The Pulsar 180F uses the same engine and comes with a similar suspension and brake setup. It is likely to get ABS in the near future.
