Rumour: BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS launch on July 18, 2018

Media reports suggest that BMW might announce the launch of the G 310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles on July 18, 2018. BMW has scheduled a press conference on this day, however the company hasn't disclosed anymore details yet.

Pre-bookings for the G 310 R and G 310 GS commenced earlier this month and BMW Motorrad dealers across India are accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs. 50,000. 

While the bikes share the same chassis, the G 310 R is a naked street bike and the G 310 GS is an adventure touring bike featuring long-travel suspension and has a 19-inch front wheel. Powering the bikes is a 313 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which makes 34 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm. Both bikes comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.

The BMW G 310 R will compete with the KTM 390 Duke and the G 310 GS will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
