Rumour: Citroen C3 bookings open unofficially

The Citroen C3 is expected to rival the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger.

According to a media report, some Citroen dealerships have started accepting pre-bookings for the C3. The crossover is expected to be launched next month.

The Citroen C3 is based on the brand's CMP modular platform. It will be the French brand's second offering and will be positioned under the C5 Aircross.

The C3 is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which could come with either a 5-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Like the C5 Aircross, the C3 also features a funky exterior and will come with dual-tone colour options. Inside, the car gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

The Citroen C3 is expected to take on the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger.
