Citroen is said to be planning to introduce a third iteration of the C3 in India. According to media reports, the C3X is likely to arrive at our shores sometime next year.
The Citroen C3X is based on the CMP modular platform, which is shared with the C3 and C3 Aircross. What makes the C3X interesting is its crossover body style with a coupe-like roofline. That being said, it still looks as quirky as any Citroen.
The C3X features a split headlamp design with LED daytime running lights and V-shaped tail lights. The crossover has a sloping roofline and rugged plastic cladding all around.
The interior of the C3X could be similar to that of the C3 Aircross. It is likely to borrow elements such as the digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and steering wheel, among others.
In India, the C3X could be offered with the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine as the C3 Aircross. This unit puts out 108 BHP and 190 Nm and could get manual and automatic transmission options.
Reports suggest an electric version of the C3X could also be on the cards. It is likely to be launched in early-2025.
