Rumour: Datsun redi-GO price leaked, starts from 2.39 lakh

Prices of the upcoming entry-level hatchback, Datsun redi-GO, have reportedly been leaked on the official website of the automaker. The redi-GO prices have been indicated to start from Rs 2.39 lakh. Datsun India will officially reveal prices of the redi-GO hatch on June 7.

This could have been a technical glitch from Datsun. The company seems to have removed the prices from their website after the image went viral on the Internet. If the redi-GO price mentioned in the image does come out to be true, it will make the redi-GO India's third most affordable car, after the Tata Nano and the Maruti Alto 800.

Based on the same CMF-A platform that underpins the Renault Kwid, the Datsun Redi-GO is powered by a 799 cc, three-cylinder engine that pumps out 53.2 BHP and 72 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox. Datsun claims that the Redi-GO would give a fuel economy figure of 25.17 kmpl.
