Rumour: Features of the Skoda Kushaq

Some of the features that could be offered in the Kushaq have been revealed.

The Skoda Kushaq crossover will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which is also shared with the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun. The SUV will be unveiled in March 2021 and is likely to be more expensive than the Taigun.

The base variant of the Kushaq is likely to get a 7.0-inch head-unit and 4 speakers, while the top-end variant will get a 10-inch head-unit and a subwoofer in the boot. It could also be equipped with a cooled glove box and ventilated seats. The SUV is also likely to get a sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It might miss out on a panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera. Safety features include ESP (on the automatic), 4 airbags as standard, and 6 airbags on the top-end variant.

In India, the Kushaq will be offered with two turbo-petrol engines. These include a 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI, while transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG.
