Rumour: Ford Figo facelift launch in March 2019

According to a media report, Ford is planning to launch the Figo facelift in March 2019.

The new Figo is expected to receive updates similar to the Aspire, which was launched in October 2018. It is likely to get a new chrome grille, revised headlamp clusters, redesigned bumpers with chrome inserts and alloy wheels. On the inside, the car is expected to get a new dashboard featuring a floating touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC3, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The updated Figo is likely to get the new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine from the new Aspire. This engine produces 95 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 120 Nm of torque @ 4,250 rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed automatic might be offered on the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which makes 122 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The diesel option might include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which makes 99 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 215 Nm @ 1,750-3,000 rpm.

In terms of safety features, the new Figo is likely to get ABS, airbags, front seat belt reminders and high-speed warning as mandated by law.
