Rumour: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to be called Moab in India

According to a media report, Jeep is likely to launch the Wrangler Rubicon in the third quarter of this year. The report also claims that the vehicle could be badged as the Moab in India.

In the international market, the Wrangler Rubicon is available with two petrol engine options including a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged unit and a 3.6-litre V6. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic. The vehicle comes equipped with a Rock-Trac part-time 4WD system and performance suspension as standard. 

The Wrangler Moab gets cosmetic changes such as black alloy wheels shod with off-road tyres and Moab decals on the sides of the bonnet. 

Test mules of the Wrangler Rubicon have already been spotted on Indian roads.
