Rumour: Kawasaki Z400RS neo-retro motorcycle in the works

The Z400RS is expected to be based on the Z400 and will slot in under the Z650RS.

Kawasaki is said to be working on a new retro-modern bike called the Z400RS. The new model will be based on the Z400 and will slot in under the Z650RS.

The Z400RS is expected to sport simple retro styling with a circular headlamp and twin-pod instrument console upfront and a short tail section similar to the Z650RS.

At the heart of the Z400RS would be a 399cc, parallel-twin engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. In the Z400 streetfighter, this engine develops 47.5 BHP and 38 Nm.

Reports suggest that the Z400RS is likely to be unveiled later this year and is expected to arrive at our shores as well.
