Rumour: Locally assembled Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R sold out

According to a media report, Kawasaki dealerships are no longer accepting bookings for the locally assembled ZX-10R as the first batch has been already sold out. It is not known when the bookings would be re-opened.

Last month, Kawasaki launched the locally assembled Ninja ZX-10R and the ZX-10RR at a revised price of Rs. 12.80 lakh and Rs. 16.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

Both models are powered by a 998 cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that develops 197 BHP @ 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm of peak torque @ 11,500 rpm. With assistance from the ram air intake system, power peaks out at 207 BHP. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a quick shifter. The motorcycles come equipped with features like ABS, traction control, power modes, launch control, cornering brake function among others.
