Rumour: Mahindra XUV500 facelift launch in April 2018

According to a media report, Mahindra is likely to launch the XUV500 facelift sometime in the month of April this year. The updated model is expected to get a revised front end and some interior changes.

Test mules of the XUV500 facelift have been spotted on multiple occasions. The spy images suggest that the XUV500 facelift might get a set of new headlights with integrated LED DRLs, revised front bumper and grille. In the rear, the facelift version will retain the triple-pod tail lamp setup. The interior might receive a few updates especially for the touchscreen infotainment system. Mahindra is expected to introduce an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The XUV500 facelift is rumoured to get an updated 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, which is believed to produce 168 BHP of peak power and 350 Nm of torque. Reports suggest that a G9 petrol AT variant with a 6-speed automatic gearbox is also on cards. Mahindra is yet to announce the official launch date of the XUV500 facelift.
