Recent reports revealed Maruti’s plans to introduce exclusive dealerships for its premium cars. Team-BHP has now learnt that the premium car dealerships are going to be named ‘Nixa’. The first showroom will be coming up at Dwarka, Delhi and Nixa dealers will be launched in the top 20 Maruti cities (by sales).
The dealer development team is currently spread across the country identifying the best locations for Nixa. In almost all the cases, the biggest dealer in the region will get the Nixa outlet.
Maruti Suzuki’s reputation in India is one of an affordable car maker. Multiple attempts at luxury/premium models like the Grand Vitara, Kizashi and SX4 have seen weak responses. Maruti has taken another shot at adding an upmarket touch to its brand appeal by launching the Ciaz. Maruti will also be launching models like the YRA, YBA and SX4 S-Cross, all of which will be placed as premium offerings.
Given the lacklustre response Maruti has seen with its premium models in the past, the automaker is covering all its bases to garner the desired response for its upcoming models.
