Rumour: Mercedes C-Class facelift launch in October 2018

According to a media report, Mercedes-Benz is likely to launch the C-Class facelift in India in October 2018.

The updated C-Class made its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The car gets minor exterior updates, which includes modification to the bumpers, full-LED headlights and tail lights with C-shaped LEDs. On the inside, the new model gets an optional digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and a new design 3-spoke steering wheel with touchpads as well as voice-activation.

In India, the C 200 will be offered with a new 1.5-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 180 BHP @ 5,800-6,100 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 3,000-4,000 rpm. The C 220d will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which develops 192 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,600-2800 rpm. The C 300d powered by a twin-turbo diesel is expected to replace the C 250d. Both the diesel engines will be BS-VI compatible. Additionally, a C 300 petrol variant may be offered with the cabriolet.

Mercedes has also updated the AMG line up. The AMG C43 gets a revised 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 engine which makes 385 BHP @ 6,100 rpm and 520 Nm @ 2,500-5,000 rpm. Coupe versions of the AMG variants might also be introduced.
