Rumour: MG Hector facelift launch in early 2021

The updated Hector could get a dual-tone interior with new features.

According to a media report, MG is likely to launch the updated Hector early next year.

As part of the mid-cycle facelift, the Hector will receive a few cosmetic changes. Spy images suggest that the SUV will get a new mesh grille at the front and a reworked rear fascia. The red strip between the tail lamps will be replaced with a black and chrome garnish. The SUV will also get redesigned dual-tone alloy wheels that appear to be a size larger than the 17-inch wheels available on the Hector at the moment.

The Hector facelift could get a dual-tone interior just like the Hector Plus. MG might also add some new features including an auto dimming IRVM to the package.

The MG Hector facelift is likely to be offered with the same set of engines as the current car. These include a 168 BHP 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol engine producing 141 BHP and 250 Nm mated to 6-speed DCT as well as a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrain paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
