Rumour: Michael Perschke to head Mahindra EV subsidiary

According to a media report, Michael Perschke - the former head of Audi India has moved to Mahindra and will be heading a new electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary in Europe.

As per the report, Perschke left the post of Director for Global Sales Strategy at Audi in February 2018 to oversee a new Mahindra EV project codenamed - Project Montana. Since then, he has updated his LinkedIn profile which mentions his current position as "senior strategic advisor and project lead for an EV start-up".

The report suggests that Mahindra's new European subsidiary will focus on high-performance EVs and is likely to work independently of the India-based Mahindra Electric. Michael Perschke joined Audi AG as Director Global Service Network Strategy & Quality in June 2008. From 2010-2013, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Audi India and member of the board of Volkswagen Group Sales India.
