Rumour: More info on the next-gen Maruti Vitara Brezza

The SUV is likely to get a 6-speed AT instead of the 4-speed AT doing duty in the current car.

Rumours suggest that the next-gen Vitara Brezza will come with 6 airbags, connected tech, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. It is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the current car, but with some changes to the powertrain. The SUV is likely to get a 6-speed AT instead of the 4-speed AT doing duty in the current car.

The Vitara Brezza could also be equipped with a wireless charger and a sunroof. A CNG variant may also be offered.

At present, the Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm and comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 4-speed automatic transmission is available with the mild-hybrid version.
